I got amazing value for my money at Hostel Market - a cheap price for a great room with comfortable beds. The location was perfect, right in the city center, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Plus, the kitchen and terrace on the top floor were a fantastic addition.
The morning meal could have been better with more variety.

The communal space was cozy and inviting, with a small lounge area perfect for relaxing and chatting with fellow travelers. It felt like a home away from home.
Cramped rooms and limited storage.

Great location, close to metro stations and easy to reach from the airport. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, opening the reception early to assist with luggage storage. It was a great help for my trip in the city.
Not a very social hostel, not many opportunities to meet other travelers and do activities together. The lockers were unreliable, mine didn't work and I didn't feel safe storing my belongings.

Stayed at Hostel Market for a few nights in a clean, cosy female dorm which felt like a room. Comfy beds, secure lockers, and nice decoration throughout. The hostel's rooftop terrace had a great city view. Convenient location in Porto center, close to tram station and the old town. Staff were friendly, helpful, and understanding when I accidentally returned my key bracelet late. No fee was charged.
Would definitely recommend this hostel.

Likes/Best Aspects: The hostel had a convenient setup, with everything accessible through an electronic bracelet. The layout of the dorm room allowed for some privacy, which was a nice touch. The staff was helpful and there were sizable lockers available. the location of the hostel was great, with plenty of nearby food options and attractions to explore.
Dislikes/Worst Aspects: One drawback was the lack of a lift in the hostel, making it difficult to navigate the stairs with luggage.

Great location, close to transport and city center. Clean facilities with a cozy terrace. Friendly staff, accommodating and understanding. Clean and new bathroom, although hot-cold water tap is reversed. Regular cleaning and free coffee in the nice kitchen. Comfy beds with power outlets nearby and storage boxes.

Great location, close to metro stations and within walking distance of most sights. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The common area was nice, with a large kitchen and a big terrace with a view. The electronic lock system was convenient. The mattresses were comfortable. a good choice for a short stay.
The sleeping quarters were cramped and had a strange vibe. The rooms were small and lacked seating space.

The staff at the reception were friendly, helpful, and even went the extra mile to provide earplugs for a light sleeper like me. we felt safe and had a great time thanks to their hospitality.
The breakfast option could use some improvement.

The location of the hostel is really convenient, with a main tram station and the old town just a short walk away. the staff are also very friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. the swipe cards provided are a great advantage, making it easy to access your room without any hassle.
One downside is that the rooms can be quite cramped, particularly in the 8-person room. considering the affordable price and great location, it is still a good option for budget travelers.

We stayed at a hostel really close to a main tram station and the old town. the staff were friendly and explained the accommodation well. the bracelet swipe cards were very handy and hard to lose. We were lucky to have a female dorm that was a real room with walls and a door, unlike the main mixed dorm with glass walls. the beds were extremely comfy. The decoration of the whole hostel was nice and we enjoyed relaxing on the terrace with a view over the city. Cons: Everything was great! 😃.

Loved the city views from the property and being close to all the famous landmarks. Made me feel like I was in a real-life postcard.
Can't handle the excitement of noisy tourists and crowded dorm rooms - it's truly a dream come true.
